Why do I write?
I am not really a writer or a poet - poetry lives in me.
I don’t invent my writings and my poetry - poetry invents me.
I have an inner urge to write. I first felt it when I was ten or eleven
years old. I am now 52 years old and I have been writing almost all of
my life.
I believe I write because things are not perfect and writing takes me
to a different world where perfection is possible.
I believe I write because through writing a manifestation of beauty happens.
When I am involved in writing I am in a world of humbleness, peace and
empathy. I seek fulfillment, and it is in writing that I find it.
Lima,
Peru
I was born in Lima,
Peru, December 17, 1950. My mother’s maiden name was Maria Luisa
Seoane. My fathers name was Prudencio German. Spanish is my native tongue.
I grew up in a small town named Chaclacayo, near the city of Lima. I was
educated in Catholic private schools in Peru. I graduated as an attorney
in 1974. The following year I went to Spain and co- validated my studies
there. During 1976 I moved to New York City to be with my older brother.
In New York City I meet Judy and I married her. I went to New York University
for a Master degree in law. Our first two sons were born in New York City.
In 1983 we moved to Houston, Texas to be near Judy’s parents, who
were developing a small subdivision named Cypress Villas, north of FM
1960. Since that time I have been involved in property management and
residential construction.
Life, business and family have placed me in many different scenarios -
some more stressful than others. How did I make it through so many changes?
I believe writing helps us develop the capacity to reflect upon our inner
most energy, the wounds of life as well as the happiness within. I find
that when you dwell there- beauty comes out and a smile wins over all
suffering and pain. There is more in us than what we think. Writing is
a vehicle to manifest the unknown dreams and the mysteries of life - and
understanding these things inside of us all is sure to bring us joy.
