An Overview of PEBA |
| PURPOSE We provide a forum where bird lovers can meet and share our mutual interests in the care and breeding of cage birds. We further our knowledge through our meetings. PEBA also promotes the welfare and appreciation of cage birds to the general public |
| HISTORY The Plano Exotic Birds Association began on September 12, 1987 at the Gladys Harrington library. Eighteen people attended this organizational meeting. In the few years since then, our membership has grown to over 44 families and 4 associate members. Past meetings have featured speakers on avian medicine, hand feeding, experts on raptors (birds of prey), cockatiels, lovebirds, budgies, finches, parrots, cockatoos, macaws, and many other species. We also provide small birds at no charge to the senior citizens in the retirement home where we hold our meetings. |
